JEWEL Skin was founded by Elisha Jewel (Elisha J. Simon), a 12th grade teacher and artist from Chicago, IL, in honor of her great-grandmother, Jewell King, affectionately known as Gamma, who lived a beautiful 102 years. Inspired by her great-grandmother’s legacy of care, self-love, and resilience, Elisha carries both her name and spirit forward through JEWEL Skin LLC.

Guided by an inner compass toward holistic health and wellness, and shaped by her own experience with mild eczema, Elisha began creating natural skincare products at home. Seeing the joy and comfort they brought inspired her to share them with her community, blending ancestral wisdom with mindful, gentle ingredients.
